Dear friends and colleagues,

The first International Fungal / Plant Cell Wall Meeting will take place in Biarritz, France, from March 10 – 14, 2007.

This Conference will bring together many of the International experts that study specific aspects of fungal and plant cell wall biogenesis. A wide variety of topics on cell wall biogenesis and structure will be covered, such as biosynthesis and trafficking of cell wall components, including the regulatory mechanisms, different aspects of cell wall assembly and the fungal cell wall as a host-pathogen interface.

The Conference will be formatted around ORAL SESSIONS with invited speakers. Additional lectures selected from your contributions as well as a POSTER SESSION will be held during the meeting. Participation will be restricted to approximately 250 researchers in order to promote a close interaction between the participants and to provide a forum for young scientists to discuss their recent research.
